Is vaping dangerous?

To many, the idea of replacing their packet of cigarettes with a vape was something of a no-brainer. We have known for many years now of the heath risks of tobacco but many found it difficult to let go of the idea of smoking completely. When vapes came along, they seemed to offer the perfect solution. They duplicated that sensation that smokers enjoy, of inhaling and exhaling smoke, they were socially acceptable, came in all kinds of exotic flavours, with some you could even get a decent nicotine hit. Best of all, they were completely safe. Or were they?

Will vaping damage my health?

Vaping has been with us for a while now, enabling scientists to look at the habit in more detail - and the early results are not looking good for vaping. Common sense would perhaps have told us that inhaling chemical fumes on a regular basis might not be the best idea we have ever had, but perhaps were lulled into a false sense of security by comparing it to the proven dangers of smoking. Some reports seem to indicate that inhaling hot vapour may be inflaming or even eroding our lungs, creating holes and scarring. Holes that possibly cannot be healed, and may in time grow in size and number. if these early reports prove to be true then  over time we may see the effects of vaping reflected more and more in our health statistics in the form of lung disease and the additional strain that shortage of breath is likely to put on the heart.
